Phlebotomy Technician 1

Phlebotomists are primarily responsible for the collection of blood specimens using standard techniques. This California-approved course includes lectures and a practical externship at a nearby site. The course covers lab protocols, the Patients’ Bill of Rights, HIPPA compliance, patient-based service care, and communication skills and includes a certification examination. Priority will be given to students who have completed prerequisites or are currently working in the medical field.
