Phlebotomy Technician 1

The Twilight Adult School Phlebotomy Technician Program provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform blood collection safely and efficiently in hospitals, laboratories, and clinical settings. The program prepares students for the California State Phlebotomy Certification Exam, opening doors to employment as a Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT-1).

Graduates will gain a strong foundation in:

  • Anatomy and physiology of the circulatory system
  • Blood collection procedures and safety protocols
  • Infection control and laboratory best practices
  • Professional ethics and patient care

This comprehensive training includes classroom instruction, hands-on lab practice, and a supervised clinical externship in a medical facility.

Program Requirements

  • Successful completion of the pre-registration assessment
  • High School Diploma
  • Proof of physical exam, TB test, and clear criminal background screening

Enrollment Process

All Career Technical Education (CTE) students must complete an entrance exam to qualify for enrollment.
After the exam, prospective students will meet with a Twilight Adult School counselor to discuss career goals, program options, and financial aid eligibility.
